Welcome to Wax & Scent. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, artisanal home fragrance products, bulk programs, and affiliated corporate or hospitality services. By browsing our site, interacting with our brand, or purchasing our products, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound entirely by the following terms, conditions, and policies referenced herein.

1. Product Integrity & Safety

All of our products are natural, non-toxic, and artisanal items individually hand-poured with care. Our candles feature unique paraffin-free soy wax formulas and cotton wicks sourced from the USA. Because our products are hand-poured in small batches, slight variations in color, appearance, or minor surface texture are completely natural indicators of genuine hand-craftsmanship and do not constitute defective merchandise.

Safe Burning Guidelines: To ensure safety, longevity, and product performance, customers must practice safe candle care. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep wicks trimmed regularly. When not in use, keep the lid secured on our 230g glass candle jars to ensure the wax remains dust-free.

2. Shipping & Delivery Timelines

We process and dispatch shipments carefully across Kenya. Shipping costs are dynamically calculated based on your physical location and are visible prior to checking out on our platform.

• Nairobi and Environs: Orders are dispatched and shipped within 24 to 48 hours, operating from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Rest of Kenya (Outside Nairobi): All packages will be securely processed and delivered within 2 to 3 business working days.

3. Damaged items, Returns & Store Credit

We strive to deliver exceptional home tranquility products that you will love. However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, our return policy operates under strict regulatory guidelines to maintain hygiene, premium quality control, and minimal planetary waste:

Damages or Inaccuracies: If your order arrives damaged or is physically incorrect, you must contact our care team within 48 hours of delivery receipt. Your request must contain your specific order details along with high-quality photograph proof of both the product and outer package. If inspected and validated as a logistics error on our part, we will issue either a full product replacement or direct store credit (minus original shipping costs).

Change of Mind / Incorrect Choice: If you ordered the incorrect product variant or have changed your mind, we may accept returns entirely at our discretion for store credit only, provided the following rigid criteria are fulfilled within 7 days of delivery:

1. The product remains completely unused, unlit, and unaltered.
2. The item must be pristine, clean, and in its original retail packaging with all protective labels intact.
3. Return transit fees are to be covered and borne entirely by the customer.
4. The returned package must cleanly pass our standard physical quality safety inspection.

Strict Non-Returnable Classifications: We cannot issue credit or returns under any circumstance for used or opened items, products returned after our 7-day cutoff period, or any items purchased via discount offers, promotional codes, or seasonal clearances (unless physically damaged during delivery transit).

4. Bulk Gifting, Corporate & Custom Labels

Wax & Scent offers customized, high-end bulk gifting programs subject to a standard minimum order threshold value. Our custom labeling features require a strict commitment starting at 100 units, while standard wholesale or non-custom corporate bulk discounts scale down to starts at 50 units. Custom-labeled, co-branded, or bespoke hospitality orders are finalized under individual invoice contract provisions and cannot be canceled, refunded, or modified once production commences in our studios.

5. Intellect, Trademarks & Creative Rights

All content presented across this platform—including website styling elements, images, visual arrangements, narrative text, product copy, and logo layouts—is the exclusive intellectual property of Wax & Scent. Any unauthorized duplication, exploitation, redistribution, or replication of our branding or fragrance artwork without explicit formal written permission is strictly prohibited.

6. Governed Legislation

These terms and conditions, along with any separate legal framework under which we provide our home fragrance services, are strictly governed by and construed in conformity with the established laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any legal claim or dispute arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts within Kenya.

7. Structural Modifications to These Terms

We preserve the explicit right to alter, modify, or completely update portions of our Terms and Conditions at any point to mirror standard logistical updates, material adjustments, or evolving legal parameters. It remains your direct responsibility to review this page periodically to remain informed of any active adjustments.
